March 2020 marked 2 years since I got my Alber E-Fix Power Add On. I worked really hard on putting this blog post together whilst also relaunching this site. However, as Covid-19 hit the UK in March and we were all under lockdown it didn’t feel appropriate to post this blog. We aren’t any better off than we were in March if anything we’re in a worse position. However, I still wanted to share the last 2 years with my E-Fix with you and along with some overwhelming support over on my Instagram I decided it was time to post. So without further ado… 2 Years with the Alber E-Fix…

5 Tips for Living with PoTS
AD| Affiliate Link *Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional and I am sharing my own personal experiences.* 1. If you can do it laying down, do it laying down! Sitting upright can be challenging when living with PoTS. So use your upright time wisely by doing everything you can laying down. Split your upright time between things you have to do like chores and things you want to do like hobbies, dinner with family. Whatever you do try to find some balance. 2. STAY. HYDRATED. And use Electrolytes. Tips on staying hydrated are probably better coming from someone who doesn’t spend most of her time dehydrated but it’s a…

They Told Me I had a (benign) Brain Tumour
*CW: Brief mention of missed periods. Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional. I am discussing my own experience.* Here is the story of when a Doctor told me I had a benign Brain Tumour. The definition of a benign tumour is not malignant i.e. not cancerous. I Tried Pilates & It Didn't Cure Me
*Disclaimer* I am not a health care professional or fitness instructor. This post discusses my experiences and how I personally feel. This should not be used as treatment or health advice. First up let me just say I am not naïve enough to genuinely think Pilates would cure me. I didn’t start Pilates to be cured or as an experiment however, during the time I was doing Pilates it got me thinking and I thought this may make a useful blog post. Have You Tried? If Chronically Ill, you to have probably heard the sentence “have you tried…” something we are all sick of hearing! It’s often followed by various…

PoTS Awareness Day 2019 – What is PoTS?
Yesterday, 25th October 2019 was the first annual #PotsAwarenessDay! PoTS, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome also comes under the term Dysautonomia. PoTS is an abnormality of the functioning of the autonomic (involuntary) nervous system. A part of the autonomic nervous system is the sympathetic nervous system. This produces the ‘fight or flight’ response. When this occurs the chemical called norepinephrine is released. It can cause many symptoms including an increase in heart rate and blood pressure. When someone…
